Image
I am proud to announce that Brandsonic Web mobile will soon be available for Android devices. It has been in the works for over a month. It has most of the features of Brandsonic Web mobile for iOS, including quick sites. It will work on both phones and tablets. I hope you will enjoy Brandsonic Web mobile for Android as much as I enjoyed making. It will be released really soon on my site as well as 3rd Party app stores such as SlideME. Below is a screenshot.

Brandsonic Web for Windows is NOT dead

Brandsonic Web for Windows is NOT dead. It has been well over a year (1 year, 5 months to be exact) since Brandsonic Web for Windows was updated and it is well overdue for an update. Brandsonic Web for Windows 0.3 will be released by the end of November. Regrettably, it will still use the default webbrowser control, not WebKit or xlurunner. However, it will feature the new, redesigned Quick Sites Ui from Brandsonic Web for Mac Alpha 7, a Google search bar, as well as various bug fixes. I sincerely apologize for neglecting the Windows version. Expect more frequent updates in the future.

A video has been made about Brandsonic Web. This is the first time this has ever happened and I couldn't be happier. You can see a good overview of the browser and a little preview of Alpha 7 before it's released later this week.

Brandsonic Web Alpha 7 coming soon

I am proud to announce that Brandsonic Web Mobile will support the iPhone 5's and iPod Touch 5's taller screen. This will be featured in the 0.9.3 update along with iOS 6 support. As you can tell by the below screenshot, you get much more browsing space on the new taller screen. Brandsonic Web mobile 0.9.3 will be released when the iOS 6 jailbreak is released. Brandsonic Web mobile is two years old today!

Two years ago today, Brandsonic Web mobile 0.1 was released on Cydia. It has been downloaded 5,330 times to date. It has received 11 updates over the course of two years. I couldn't be happier with the progress and how much the browser has evolved over the two years.

Brandsonic Web mobile is NOT compatible with iOS 5.1.1

I regret to inform you that Brandsonic Web mobile doesn't run on iOS 5.1.1. It will instantly crash when you attempt to launch it. I am aware of the problem and I am working to fix it. Honestly I don't know what the problem is. I am investigating the problem and will have it fixed ASAP.  I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

The state of Brandsonic Web for Windows

I has been over a year since I've updated Brandsonic Web for Windows. It was last updated on May 10th, 2011. The reason for this is because I've been struggling to find a better web browser component that has all the features of the original web browser component. So until I can find one, I will stay with the original web browser component. This means not webkit and not xlurunner. Brandsonic Web for Windows 0.3 use the original browser component. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Brandsonic Web mobile has been temporary removed from Cydia

I have removed Brandsonic Web mobile from Cydia temporary. I have done this until I can fix the nasty instant crash bug. I don't want anyone downloading a non-working app. I apologize for any inconvenience and I will get Brandsonic Web mobile back up ASAP. Update: It is back up.
