Brandsonic Web Mobile on iOS 5 update

The current version of Brandsonic Web Mobile on cydia is fully compatible with iOS 5. Also, now that the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 is out, I will take Brandsonic Web Mobile off hiatus.

An update on Brandsonic Web for Windows 0.3

Brandsonic Web for Windows 0.3 powered by WebKit may never be released. I am unable to compile it for release. I was also unable to integrate a progress bar. I hope to release it powered by the same engine as the last 2 release with a  radical new quick sites UI . I hope to have this released by the end of the year.

Brandsonic Web Mobile is on a temporary hiatus

I have decided to put Brandsonic Web Mobile on a temporary hiatus. This does NOT mean that I am going to stop developing the app. I have made this decision based on two things. One being the fact that there is still no untethered jailbrake for iOS 5. The other factor is that I want to focus all my time on createing Brandsonic Web Mobile for Android. I will resume development as soon as the untetherd jailbrake is released.

Brandsonic Web Mobile and iOS 5

I am unable to test Brandsonic Web Mobile on a real iOS 5 device at this time. This is because there is currently no untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 as of yet. As soon as there is I will test the current version of Brandsonic Web Mobile on an  iOS 5 device. However, I am able to test the version I'm currently working on in the iOS 5 simulator and it works fine.

Brandsonic Web for Windows on Windows 8

The current version of Brandsonic Web for Windows (0.2) works on Windows 8 without any problems. Here's a screenshot: I am sad to announce that there will be no metro style version of Brandsonic Web. This is due restrictions put in place by Microsoft. I can make it load up a page but there is no way to integrate back or forward buttons. So its useless. If Microsoft lifts these restrictions in the future, I will be making a metro style version.

Brandsonic Web for Windows in now powered by WebKit!

I am writing this post from Brandsonic Web for Windows 0.3. It is the first version of Brandsonic Web for Windows powered by WebKit. All previous versions of Brandsonic Web for Windows were powered by Internet Explorer. Brandsonic Web for Windows is no longer limited by the version of Internet Explorer you have installed on your PC. It is now completely separate from IE. There is no ETA on the release date but I hope to release it by the end of this month. Shouldn't be long before I release it. This is the best version of Brandsonic Web for Windows yet and I'm really excited about it. All versions of Brandsonic Web on all platforms its available for are powered by WebKit now.

Another update on Brandsonic Web Alpha 5

Brandsonic Web for mac hasn't been updated in over 8 months. Its not dead. I am currently working on Alpha 5. Unfortunately I still haven't been able to the progress indicator to work. So they will be omitted from this version. Multiple window support has also been removed from this version, as the original project file stopped working when I upgraded to the new Xcode 4. I am still unsure when this version will be released, but I hope to release it mid to late May, or early June.
