Brandsonic Web is NOT dead

-
It's been awhile since I have updated any of the versions of Brandsonic Web. Usually during the summer, I release alot of updates. I have mostly been using this summer to work on my programming skills instead of directly working on Brandsonic Web. The knowledge gained will help me make Brandsonic Web better. I will try to release an update for all versions by the end of August.

Brandsonic Web for Mac 0.10.2

I am back with the first release of Brandsonic Web for Mac in over 5 years. It is version 0.10.2. With this release, Brandsonic Web for Mac is now a universal binary that runs natively on both Intel and Apple silicon Macs. I did have to drop support for macOS versions below 11.5 because Xcode no longer supports deploying for versions lower than 11.5. There are no new features in this release. However, the UI looks different. This happened automatically upon compiling with the latest SDK. I wanted to release a universal binary version of Brandsonic Web, as Rosetta is being removed in the next version of macOS. This release is available now from the Brandsonic Web for Mac page on the site.

Brandsonic Web mobile, Packix and Havoc

I found out on Tuesday that Packix, the repo I've been hosting Brandsonic Web mobile on since ModMyi/ModMy shut down in 2017, is shutting down too. A new repo called Havoc is its successor. This morning I woke up to an email saying that it was rejected because they are "not interested" in hosting it. I am extremely disappointed and I honestly was not expecting them to reject it. I was ready to announce that Brandsonic Web mobile had been moved to Havoc. This leaves me in an awkward position. As of now, I have nowhere to host Brandsonic Web mobile. Brandsonic Web mobile will still be downloadable from Packix indefinitely but I have nowhere to submit future versions. I will host it on my own if that's what I have to do but I chose repos like Packix so I wouldn't have to go through the h...
